Dear friends,

 

We greet you from Zimbabwe which is slowly getting warmer again!

Spring is coming soon!

 

We are busy preparing for our camp which will take place from the 11-17.08. The helpers from Europe (our church in Germany) + a young lady each from Austria & Switzerland will start to fly in from this Sunday onwards. . We are so excited! The local helpers and co-workers are also looking forward to the camp!! We rejoice to have such in international team!! What a privilege, to be part of God's World Wide family!!!.

 

We think that God will really use this camp, since we are noticing quite a bit of spiritual activity against it. Our vehicles developed some problems, David had a bad Krupp/coughing attack three nights ago, the local leader of the volunteers (Mother Banda) had a bus accident with left her injured, etc...

 

Please pray that God will protect all of us and heal Mother Banda (a shoulder wound got infected) and that God will bless the preparation of the camp & the camp itself.

We are expecting 130 orphans & vulnerable children + 40 co-workers and think that God really wants to touch the young people and will do great things during our time together. A lot of hefty things usually come up in our counselling session which the devil would rather prefer to keep in the dark...Please pray that the camp will become a great blessing, before, whilst it happens and after the camp. Pray that kids will be set free by our wonderful Lord Jesus Christ! Please continue to pray for us as a couple & family that God will watch over us and use us together with all the others!

Thank you that we are together in this great ministry, that people will encounter God and be touched by Him!!

Dear friends,

 

How are you?

It's well time for an update .

We are glad and praise the Lord, that He is continuing to use us here in Zimbabwe!!

 

Silke & the ladies bible study has had another Widows Tea last Monday. 45 of them came & were blessed. The ladies really made them feel the love of God! Silke shared on "The uniquenes of Jesus" and had many positive responses. We continue to visit the dear ones in the Senior Citizen Settlement & take the chaple service there from time to time.

 

Lessons in the schools are going well! I've found some new material & Silke helps me to make up some lessons of my own. We did a serie on "Wisdom", now on the good shepherd.

The kids from the orphanage are great and they are looking forward to our camp 11-17. of August!

For this, we will have our team from local helpers, 4 volounteers from our German church & one Swiss & one Austrian girl. There'll be 130 Orphans & vunerable children! Please pray for the Holy Spirit to touch and bless everyone on this camp.

 

The swiss girl Katharina will be with us for 9 month, also from August on. She'll stay with friends & come to support us in our ministry & family.

 

Please pray for us during this bussy Augustholiday, that we have the strength to cope well with all the visitors & the camp, kids and oneanother.

 

The other "Childrens work" with David & Joshua still keeps us on our toes...

and we are very proud that Germany won the soccer Worlcup !!!

 

Please also continue to pray for our country! The economical situation is worse than 2008 and more buisnesses than ever have to close down. Pray for God's

Help and Hope for the people and friends of our beloved Zimbabwe!
