Waldvogel News /Back in Zim/ Family/ Disciple ship course/ Good meeting/ Mission Week/Schools/Ladies Bible Study/Widow afternoon/Safety

Dear friends,

How are you?

We are well & so glad to be able to be back for the Lord in Zimbabwe!!!

Sorry that we have not written for a while, we had a little accident with our address book when we gave in the laptop for repair...we thought we had saved it before erasesing it...

Please tell your church about it, so that anyone who used to get updates, but doesn't anymore will send their e-mail addresses to us again, thank you!

Well, we are already back here for over a month. So many people have come and still are coming to thank us for returning and to express their joy about it. What a blessing to have such a welcome from our African and white African friends here!!!

David:

David is really enjoying his Pre-school!! He's having a lot of fun with his friends here, which again come in all colours! Please pray for his English, which is only retuning slowly. Often he "talks" with hands & feet, which his teachers don't like at all! David loves our "Baba Lawrence", our faithful gardener & security man. He loves playing with him outside, helps to feed the dog and does little jobs there to. In six days our big "guy" is turning 4 already. We thank God for our two little big miracles!!!

Joshua:

Josh is very well to, we praise the Lord that his colicky tummy is over and he is a very happy chap since then. For two weeks he's been in the porridge eating league, he's enjoying mashed sweet potatoes, carrots & apples. He loves his big brother and he gets his biggest smiles!! Otherwise he grabs everything that comes close to him and from there it goes straight into his mouth to investigate it further.

Martin:

Martin has been going to the orphanage regularly and has started a disciple ship course there with the teenagers there. It is exciting, please pray for the youth to really catch the fire and go on with it!

We have been very sad about one of the older girls who has passed away two weeks ago with Aids. She was abused as a child and only lived to be 18 years old...we were able to visit her at the hospital. We are comforted by the knowledge that she knew the Lord. She is with him now save in Him with her body and soul!!

Praise God for a God directed meeting with our Missions regional leader and our field leader (+program coordinator for Hope for Aids)! The Holy Spirit really moved on us and helped us to see things with the eyes of the other person. We had a powerful prayer time together at the end which even saw us shedding brotherly tears. Jesus guided our hearts together, it was amazing! Please pray for God's guidance and continuing blessing.

Last week Martin was able to hold a morning devotional at Springvale School about God's math's (Isaiah 55) "His ways & thoughts & math's being different from ours..." He will soon go into the public schools to once they have written their exams & right of entry has been sorted out. Next week there will be the annual mission week at Peter House (prestigious boarding school with boys & girls sections) Martin will be involved on Friday he will do a lunch time talk on "Making a covenant with your eyes –freedom from pornography" Please pray for the whole week, that young people will be called by the Lord through the various speakers.

The "lovely walks" to our Immigration department have also started again. This time only to get Joshua included into our residents permit which is still good for another two years. Martin has been 8 times to the office sofar...

Silke:

She's turned our house into a home again. To be finally rid of the flees and bed bugs has significantly contributed to that.

Every Monday she meets up with 10 other ladies for bible study and fellowship. Yesterday they had put on another special afternoon for the widows.

Silke guided through the program and did the devotional. It was a very good and blessed time. Praise the Lord!!

Please pray this weekend especially for our country since there will be important polls going on. Pray that the Lord will direct everything and will help Zimbabwe in these difficult circumstances.

Unemployment has not gone better. Please pray for protection since there are quite a few burglaries happening at the moment.

Right, so far our news shot for this time. Thank you for your prayers & that you think of us! We appreciate it a lot!

God's rich blessing, your 4 Waldvogels,

Martin, Silke, David & Joshua
