Dear friends,
greetings from an Zimbabwean Winter, real cold down to 11°Celsius in our house...we're stocking the fire place all day long...Martin went to the plot of friends and hacked some fire wood.
How are you doing? We love to hear from you, so that we can also pray for you!
Our journey to Mozambique went very well! The Lord heard your prayers, so that the boys were fine on the long drive and the car kept together well to.
We've had a good time of fellowship with our house church (well 4 families thereof)
Wie geht es Euch? Wir hören gerne von Euch damit wir auch für Euch beten können! Martin brought his guitar and it was great to lead some services together. We also went to excursions together amongst other places to St. Carolina or also known under Paradise Island for snorkeling – praise God for his perfect creation!!!
It was a blessed and great time, not as relaxing as before when did not have our action boys...
Unfortunately we've brought more than coconuts and pineapples back with us...Martin & David managed to sneak Malaria or some nasty virus into the suitcases...
David thankfully only had it for a day and not too hefty, but Martin "made a meal of it". Two days of fever up to 40.7 °C, bad head aches and generally feeling rotten...He was treated for Malaria and it's not quite clear if that was the trouble but in any case the Doc was happy with the last check up and things are much better now. He just has to still pace himself and we appreciate your prayers there.
He says he just doesn't bounce like he used to and even got some glasses now... . After all we've preached in the Old people's home here for 9 years now.
Next Sunday Silke will lead the ladies bible study and will speak at another woman's breakfast on the 8th of June. Martin would have been due to preach at our house church last Sunday but had to cancel. Soon he will preach at our United Baptist Church and on the 02. June he will preach at Watershed College again (about 500 youths there).
Wednesday the Disciple ship course for the youth (about 18) is running and will commence again next week, since I could not make it due to ill health. Please pray for Scripture Union here, they are experiencing funding and organizational challenges. Baba Mugugu under whom I work is still trying to get a permit from the ministry of education for me to go into the primary schools again. Up to now this has not been required but it seems things are being tightened up a bit. The permit has been promised several times, please that it will be owed up soon.
The boys are fine. Josh has some teething problems but is generally a very happy chappy. David has fun at his pre-school, please pray that he will be able to play second fiddle there as well and socialize well.
Thanks for all your help!!!
God's best with Jer 48
