Dear Friends,
how are you?
Looking back and family:
We greet you from our Mission HQ.
Deputation work keeps us busy.
We've been to Switzerland for a week, where we've had a great fellowship group and visits.
We also had a good visit with Silke's Dad. He has since got a new knee joint, please do pray for a good recovery.
Silke's pregnancy is progressing well- praise God! David is very alive & kicking and enjoying kinder garden!!
He enjoys travelling around, but we do notice sometime that it get a bit much. This is why from August on Martin will do most engagements by himself.
Please do pray for Martins Mum (and Dad), her cancer is coming to the end of responding to treatment. She's had 14 years on and off.. Please do pray for strength, comfort and guidance.
Zimbabwe
It seems that the situation about returning to Zimbabwe is becoming clearer. Under conditions which are agreeable for us, a one year term is now being talked about. Our DMG has asked us to work on a plan b. Please do pray again or keep praying for God opening and closing doors according to his will!!!
Way ahead:
Tomorrow we are involved in a service/celebration from David's kinder garden.
Monday Martin will have a hernia operated. A "left over" from his appendix op 2,5 years ago.
For the end of this week we have visits scheduled near Martins home town (Darmstadt/near Frankfurt) .
On Sunday we will lead a service in the city mission where Martin became a Christian and went to the youth-group some twenty years ago -Praise God!!!
On the 21st of July we will be moderating a big youth mission event here at our HQ. We are looking forward to a building packed with around a thousand young people and God touching them all!!!
On the 23rd of July Silke will speak at a ladies night on the theme "Lord, anywhere but not Africa..."
Thanks for praying for all the above!!!
FINANCIAL SITUATION:
Please also pray for our financial situation. We have gained new regular supporters and praise God for each one! Please pray on, for we still need another 560Pounds monthly to bring us to 80% of our costs, to be able to go back to Zimbabwe.
This is not something we enjoy writing about nor write very often about, but this is our situation. The world economic crisis has not passed DMG unaffected.
Costs in Zimbabwe are high and we two children it goes up another nudge.
We are so thankful that you are behind us!! Your prayers and sacrifices enable our ministry!!! You are a great team and we are encouraged! God –our team leader and Lord is sooo great!!!
With His blessings & Isaiah 53
your Martin & Silke + David
