Easter Blessings!!!

Dear friends in the Lord!!

How are you?

We wish you much joy, peace & blessings for this resurrection celebration!!!

The Lord has suffered for us and brought us salvation. Our dear Lord Jesus has defeated death and sin and we can be free – Praise Him!!!

We had a great prayer meeting from our church in our house this morning.  We just praise God for the blessing of being saved by him and part of his family & kingdom.

We've got Silkes' step mom with us for two weeks and are enjoying the time, boys + us are well (although colds +being a bit run down) and we look forward to go to Cape Town for two weeks on the 17.04.

Have a great Easter,

your Martin & Silke + boys

Ps. Here the amazing video of Christ' passion with the song "you raise me up" (one real scene from the passion not is suitable for little people)

Waldvogel Update

Dear friends in the Lord,

How are you?

Sorry for our lull in communication...

About 2 month ago a tick bit me (Martin) and it really got me with it's fewer...I've just now rounded a corner and are fully fit again.

David cracked a bone in his lower arm, playing Cricket during recess a t school. We praise God that it was not broken!!! 10 days in a sling and it was well again!

We've got good news to:  We've received our 3 year residence permit!!! Halleluja!! We are so happy & thankful to God and for your prayers!!!

Such a blessing not having to go to the "blessed" Immigration office & to know that we can be here for the next three years.

Silke is continuing with the "Boundaries " course by Cloud &Townsend with the ladies bible study+  is looking after our short termers Katharina & Anna. Four weeks ago she organized another afternoon for widows with the LBS. About 60 came and it was a blessed time. It was Valentine´s Day. She even roped me Martin into it to play some Elvis love songs  ( from the youth of the ladies). After some worship songs we talked about the amazing love of God that will never let go of us.

Joshua misses his big brother, but he also enjoys the garden, trampoline (we were given one + passed our portable one on to the orphanage, where it is being very well used.)  Joshua often comes with me and David to the children´s home + rejoyces playing with all his mates there.

David loves every minute in his grade one class. We are so grateful that he is able to go to such a good school! Thank you for your prayers!!! Two weeks ago he even had a scripture class by his father there.        At the moment I, ( Martin) am doing a serie with my 17 school classes about "my feelings". We are looking at bible passages & stories that talk about self-worth, fear, suffering and other topics. I am very grateful for some good material that a colleague gave me. With games & stories and of course songs with the guitar the kids learn to understand themselves from the word of God and get orientation for their lives.

I`d like to recommend some books to you by  Gordon McDonalds "Ordering your private world". Has helped me a lot to be more efficient and organised. " The Effectiv Father" for parenting& "If those who reach could touch" I`m really benefitting from these books– do check them out!!!

For three weeks I've been part of the comitte of the orphanage. Please pray that I won't be keeping minutes there & waist hours, but that the Lord will use me for the good of the kids and His kingdom!

Two Sundays ago I went to the Chapel service of Watershed College. I shared with the 500+ young people there about God's idear about sucess, according to Proverbs 30: 24-28 . So different to the way the world rates sucess...God want to bring us to our full potential in Him and he does buy his grace- Hallelujah!!

Please pray for our house church here, we are at the exciting process of appointing elders & deacons. Please pay for God's guidance and His wisdom.

Tonight  "Mission week" finished at Peterhouse High school, almost a week of discussions & great messages & music + calls to give your life to the Lord. Please pray for everyone who committed and also for those who came closer to the Lord!!

Let us pray again and again for those parts of our worldwide body of Christ that are being persecuted in North-Iraq, Syria, Nigeria, Somalia, Sudan and around the globe. So many places have end-time scenarios going on. We should pray for strength, comfort & power to witness for our brothers and sisters. Let's also pray for the ones persecuting them, that they will see Jesus and that many Sauls will be turned into Pauls amongst them.

Much blessing to you, so much for now,

your 4 Waldvogels
